    • School results consistently above those of "like schools" in State standards and State mean standards

  • House System - all students are placed in one of 4 houses, with all family members in the same house.
  • Student Leaders - senior students are elected to positions of responsibility such as School Captains, House Captains and monitors Student Representative Council - elected from students in Grade 3 to 6.
  • Whole School Assemblies - held each Monday morning, where student achievements are acknowledged and celebrated.
  • Whole School Production - held biennially, all students take part in our school play held in the theatre of Forest Hill Secondary College.
  • Grade 6 Graduation and Award Night.
  • School Uniform - all students wear our school uniform in the colors of royal blue and gold. This has a unifying effect for students as well as being economical for parents.
  • Buddy System - this not only allows the Prep students to get to know some of the "big kids" in the school, but also improves communication skills, boosts self-esteem and gives the senior students an opportunity to act as role models.
  • Code of Conduct - clearly outlines behavioural expectations and boundaries for the well being of all students.
  • School Choir and Recorder Ensemble.
  • Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program - Level 3 students grow produce in the garden and then cook it in the Kitchen, with classes divided into two groups who alternate between cooking and gardening.
  • Parent Participation - is always welcomed, whether through formal means such as School Council or less formally in the P & F and classrooms
