The Prep students have had several members of the fire brigade visit them at school for two session. This has been part of their unit of inquiry as they have been exploring the Central Idea,'The people and places in our community help us meet our needs'.

The students learnt about fire safety equipment, what to do in different fire emergency situations, how to use a fire hose, equipment stored on a fire truck and they even had homework to ensure they could draw their safe family meeting place if there was a fire at their house.
