Sovereign Hill Excursion

The Senior School students visited Sovereign Hill as part of their Unit of Inquiry, 'Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities'.

Students learn about the rich history of the Ballarat area, immersing themselves in the 1850’s “Gold Rush” era and participating in a range of activities that built on their knowledge of colonial Australia.

Some of the activities included a guided tour of the Sovereign Hill museum, gold pouring demonstration, Red Hill mine tour, gold panning and candle making.
