Junior School Food Drive and Nutritionist Visit
As part of the Junior School students Unit of Inquiry, 'How we organise ourselves' the students explored humans’ need for food, where food comes from and the equity of food.
As part of their Unit Of Inquiry Junior School students discovered that some children in Australia don’t have access to enough food. For this reason, they decided to organise a Food Drive to help those in need.
Thank-you to all those families who made a donation. All donations were passed onto Syndal Community Care, who have been helping those in need for 24 years.
Another part of their Unit of Inquiry, this term, involved learning about the importance of food. A past student who is now a nutritionist, brought along six other nutritionists to speak to the Junior School students about healthy eating. The students were tasked with setting up healthy lunchboxes in small groups.
