Key Dance Information 2026
Permission forms for the before and after school ballet/jazz classes were sent out at the end of the year and if they were not returned before the end of the 2025 school year please return the form in the first week of school in 2026. Notices for the recess and lunch dance classes will be distributed during Term One. Our Annual Performing Arts Concert will be held at the 'The Round' in Nunawading on Monday 23rd November, 2026.

All students have the opportunity to try out the recess and lunchtime dance classes at the start of each school year. After a few weeks students must committ to attending the class weekly to have the opportunity to perform at the end of year Performing Arts Concert. Student who wish to join a class will take home a notice before the end of Term One regarding dance shoe requirements and costume fees.

Prep
Prep students can join Prep Dance when it starts in Term Two. The class is open for all Prep students to come along and try. Students will be asked to commit by the end of Term Two if they wish to perform in the end of year Performing Arts concert at the theatre.

Junior School
The Sparkle Dance Troupe is a beginner jazz and ballet classes for Junior School students. Students will learn two routines. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for these classes. Girls require ballet shoes and boys require black jazz shoes. Girls will also require dance tights for the end of year concert.
The Ruby/Opal Dance Troupes are cheerleading and hip-hop classes for Junior School girls. Students will learn two routines. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for this class.
The Boys Blue Crew is a boys only dance class offered to boys from Grades One to Six. Students will learn two routines. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for this class.
Middle and Senior School
The Star and Crystal Dance Troupes are intermediate jazz and ballet class for Middle and Senior School students. The Diamond Dance Troupe is an intermediate - advanced jazz and ballet class for Senior School students. Jazz and ballet technique as well as routines are taught in these classes. Students are given the opportunity to perform at different school and community events as well as the end of year Dance Concert. Girls in one of these classes need tan jazz shoes and matte tan tights. Boys need black jazz shoes. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for these classes.
Ballroom Dancing is offered to students in the Middle and Senior School and is taught without the need to dance with a partner. Two routines of different styles will be taught in this class. Girls require tan jazz shoes for this class and boys require black jazz shoes. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00.
The Boys Blue Crew is a boys only dance class offered to boys from Grades One to Six. Students will learn two routines. There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for this class. Dance shoes are not required for this dance class.
The Girls Green Crew, Girls Garnet Crew and Girls Gold Crew are girls only dance class offered to Middle and Senior School girls. Students will learn one cheerleading routine and one hip-hop routine (Green/Garnet) or one Jazz routine (Gold). There will be a costume fee of up to $50.00 for this class.
Glee
Students in Grades Three, Four, Five and Six may audition for Glee A and B. Usually around twelve students are selected for each group after a singing and dancing audition. Students in Grades 1-4 will have the opportunity to join Glee C.
