20th September 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I write again following the release of details regarding the Victorian Government’s “Roadmap”, as stated on Sunday, 19th September 2021. Although many of the restrictions still remain in place there is some positive news. The following is tempered by any future proclamations that may be made in response to the immediate position at the time. The vaccination status of the population eligible to be vaccinated will be a determinant.

I can advise the following indicative times:

From Monday, 4th October,

  • Those students eligible for on-site learning and children eligible to attend Kindergarten, by the State Government’s guidelines for authorized workers, will continue as in the earlier periods of lockdown.

From Monday, 18th October,

  • Prep students will return to on-site learning on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remote learning on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Junior School students will return to on-site learning on Thursdays and Fridays with remote learning on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Remote learning will continue for Middle and Senior School students.

From Tuesday, 26th October,

  • Middle School students will return to on-site learning on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remote learning on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Senior School students will return to on-site learning on Thursdays and Fridays with remote learning on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • The kindergarten and TheirCare will be open to children already eligible to attend and increased to include children with fully vaccinated parent/s.

From Friday 5th November,

  • All students will return to a five-day week of on-site learning.
  • The kindergarten will be open for all children.

Please be assured that all appropriate COVID-19 safety measures will continue to be implemented during this transition period of back to school and for as long as required in the future.

Plans for Term Four include working towards the remote presentation of the School Musical Production and Year Six Graduation, taking into account the variations that might occur. Further information will be provided in due course.

We will continue to monitor government directives and advice from the Department of Health and notify you accordingly. I do hope you and your family are able to have a break from the routine of the school term and that the holiday break brings warmer days to enjoy the outside more.

Yours Sincerely,

Esther Wood
