Prep 2026 - Statewide Timeline for Enrolments

To start primary school in 2026, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2026. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

If your child is starting Foundation (Prep) in 2026, you will be able to apply to enrol your child in a Victorian government primary school from the start of Term 2, 2025 (Tuesday 22 April 2025).

Application forms for Prep 2026 were due by Friday 25th July, 2025. If you move into our school zone and wish to enrol your child for Prep 2026 please contact the school as soon as possible.

Transition sessions for Prep 2026 will occur on Friday 31st October, Wednesday 12th November and Friday 28th November from 9.00 - 10.45am. The Prep 2026 Parent/Carer Information session will occur on Thursday 27th November at 6.30pm. Full details regarding Prep transition will be emailed or sent to families with students enrolled for Prep 2026 before the end of Term Three.
