Senior School Beechworth Camp
Senior School students travelled to Beechworth for camp to stay at the Old Priory.
Students learnt about migration to Beechworth during the Australian gold rushes, went panning for gold, attended the old court house for a mock trial, visited the Beechworth museum and learnt about Ned Kelly's final stand at the Glenrowan sound and light show.
The camp provided many opportunities for students to spend time with each other outside of a school setting. The activities directly linked to the students current Unit of Inquiry 'Where we are in Place and Time' with the central idea, 'Human Migration is a Response to Challenges, Risks and Opportunities.'
