Wild Together - Senior School

According to the Fathering Project, "Fathers and father figures play a critical and distinct role in children’s lives and the evidence demonstrating fathers’ potential to positively influence their children’s health, social success and academic achievements is indisputable."  One of the most compelling findings to come out of their recent study shows that children who grow up in communities with more engaged fathers have better developmental outcomes, irrespective of whether their own biological father is engaged. Everyone benefits when fathers are more engaged with their children.

With this background in mind, we would like to engage the fathers of our community. In 2023 we launched an initiative called Wild Together. The goal is to:

  • Connect dads with their child
  • Connect dads with other dads
  • Connect with the outdoors

This year, we will continue to run events for each year level.

Dads and Father Figures, get ready for an epic adventure in the great outdoors! Choose to camp overnight, join a scenic bushwalk, or tackle a peak climb—whatever suits you and your child best.
